Huawei server based on TaiShan V120 appeared on Geekbench

According to the latest information, Huawei’s new server based on TaiShan V120 has now been spotted on Geekbench. The product name is “Huawei Cloud OpenStack Nova”, and the specific CPU model cannot be identified.

The frequency of this processor is only shown as 2.9GHz. In the Geekbench 6.2.2 benchmark test, the single-core score is 1527, which is close to the AMD EPYC 7413 level (main frequency 2.65~3.6 GHz, score 1538 points), which means the Huawei TaiShan V120 has performance comparable to the Zen3 architecture.

In addition, Intel’s Xeon E-2136 (based on Coffee Lake architecture, 14nm process) launched in 2018 can reach 4.5 GHz, but it only scores 1553 points, which is basically in the same grade.

Huawei’s official website still only provides three server products: TaiShan200, TaiShan200 Pro, and TaiShan100, which are based on Kunpeng 920, Kunpeng 920, and Kunpeng 916 processors respectively.
