A fresh report from the Chinese media claimed, Wang Tao, executive director of Huawei and director of the ICT Infrastructure Business Management Committee, said that by the end of December 2022, the number of enterprise members in the open source Euler community exceeded 600.
The cumulative number of installed commercial deployments has reached 3 million sets. In the new market of server operating systems in China, Euler’s share in the new market has reached 25%.
To recall, in back November 9, 2021, Huawei announced the donation of the Euler system, and donated all the code to the Open Atom Open Source Foundation. This marks the evolution of Euler from an open source project led by founding companies to industrial co-construction and community autonomy.
Wang Tao said that Huawei will continue to focus on root technology investment, and comprehensively deploy basic software such as operating systems, databases, AI frameworks, programming languages, and compilers.
