HuaweiUpdate.com Presents how to quickly update Huawei or Honor device to Android 9.0 Pie based EMUI 9?
If you’ve never bought a Huawei or Honor-branded smartphone and are looking to pick up a new Honor View20, Huawei P30, Huawei Mate 20, or any other device from the Chinese brand, you may feel overwhelmed by how many features there are in EMUI and Magic UI.

Update EMUI 9 using Huawei eRecovery
Step 1: Firstly, download and install Firmware Finder for Huawei app from Google Play Store.
Step 2: Start the app from App Drawer. It automatically detects your device model and displays the same on screen. Once done verify the model from the path Settings > About phone.
Step 3: Once selecting the model, the app will automatically redirect you to the page where you will find a list of firmware or builds ever released for your Huawei / Honor device.
Step 4: Again, you need to check whether the latest build matches the build of your phone. If so, then you need to wait for some more time till Huawei officially releases to the public. If there is new build available, you need to click on that build number.
Step 5: Select “Get an update through eRecovery” and then tap on Next. Now you need to copy the DNS address.
Step 6: Change and apply this DNS address to your Wi-Fi router and reboot it.
Step 7: Once again, repeat steps 3, 4 and 5.
Step 8: Connect your Huawei / Honor phone to this Wi-Fi router and then tap on ‘Register Update’ followed by ‘Next’.
Step 9: Turn off your device and boot into recovery mode. To do so, you need to press and hold the Power + Volume Up button simultaneously until ‘EMUI’ logo is displayed on the screen.
Step 10: Select “Download latest version and recovery”.
