According to the latest information, at today’s Huawei Connect 2021 Conference, Huawei Rotating Chairman Xu Zhijun and Huawei China Region President Lu Yong went through media interviews. In the interview, Xu Zhijun said that Huawei will not abandon its mobile phone business nor sell its mobile phone business.
Xu Zhijun said that under US sanctions, Huawei’s mobile phone business is indeed facing great challenges, and Huawei’s 5G mobile phones are now difficult to buy. But he emphasized that Huawei will not give up its mobile phone business, nor will it sell it, and is working hard to get the mobile phone business back on track in due course.
Xu Zhijun said, “Why give up mobile phones? There is a big challenge without a chip. If you want to buy a Huawei 5G mobile phone, you may not be able to buy it. But we are still working hard to keep the mobile phone business alive. You can wait a few years. There is no chance to buy a Huawei 5G mobile phone, but at least you have to have a dream.
