Huawei CEO Richard Yu says the company will not enter in field of home appliances

Huawei CEO Richard Yu said at the MatePad Pro launch event today that the company has no interest in entering the home appliance field in the future.

The company only wants to focus on mobile phones, smart audio products, computer product and tablets, as well as other smart consumer products such as smart wear, smart bracelets and smart watches.

During the China Household Appliances and Consumer Electronics Expo in Shanghai on March 14th. Richard Yu claimed that the company “has a selfishness in doing IoT. Our goal is to improve the stickiness of smart terminal users. Therefore, Huawei IoT and Huawei mobile phones are a whole and inseparable. In the future, your home hardware can be controlled by Huawei mobile phones.”
