Huawei registered Mate V trademark, Could be a new foldable phone

According to LetsGoDigital, on July 3, Huawei applied to the EUIPO (European Union Intellectual Property Office) for the trademark of “Mate V”, which is classified in category 9, and its description includes smartphones, mobile phones, etc.

This fall Huawei may launch the Mate 40 smartphone series. Now, it seems Huawei will also launch a brand new foldable smartphone during the same period. It’s unclear which product Huawei will use the trademark for, but it’s likely to be a new device with a foldable screen that will be launched this year.

According to the current rumors, Huawei will opt for an internal folding design this time and it may have a 120 Hz screen.
