Huawei: 6G is mainly based on the millimeter wave band

Yang Tao, vice president of Huawei ’s China Carrier Business Department, revealed in the “5G Everyone Talk” section of Sina Technology that Huawei is already participating in 6G-related pre-research work .

In the 6G part, Huawei has a judgment that 6G is mainly based on the millimeter-wave band, and is currently in the stage of scene mining and technology search.

According to reports, Huawei expects that there will be some use of 6G in 2030, and Huawei is also actively participating in this work.

Currently, Huawei already holds 100 5G commercial contracts. In addition, for example, China’s three major operators opened a new round of 5G equipment collection early this year, and Huawei has become the biggest winner. In the joint acquisition project of China Unicom and China Telecom’s 2020 5G SA wireless main equipment, Huawei also achieved the first share.

Yang Tao said that in the past year, China has made great progress in the development of 5G. The first is in terms of frequency. China is developing 5G based on the intermediate frequency. Nearly 90% of the operators in the world have chosen the development direction of intermediate frequency. Therefore, China is at a very good start for the entire 5G IF.

In addition, China is also in the leading position in the overall scale of 5G construction. So far, China has built 190,000 base stations and is expected to reach between 500,000 and 800,000 stations throughout the year.
