Huawei Nova 16 Ultra launched with 200MP camera and 7000mAh battery
Huawei has officially launched its highly anticipated Nova 16 smartphone series in China. The absolute king of the new lineup is the high-end Huawei Nova 16 Ultra. This premium device comes packed with incredible hardware features that place it far above what average mid-range mobile phones offer on the market today.
The most shocking highlight of the Nova 16 Ultra is its massive 7,000mAh battery cell. This is the largest battery capacity that the brand has ever introduced inside the popular Nova phone family. To make sure you do not spend all day waiting by a wall plug, the phone supports ultra-fast 100W wired SuperCharge technology and 50W wireless charging speeds. It even supports 7.5W reverse wireless charging to fill up your earbuds on the go.
On the front, the phone carries a beautiful 6.84-inch LTPO OLED display screen that handles an adaptive refresh rate from 1Hz to 120Hz. This smart display can save a lot of battery life while playing games or reading simple text documents. Furthermore, the screen can reach a jaw-dropping peak brightness of 6,000 nits, allowing you to view images clearly in direct summer sunlight. To protect against accidental drops, the front glass uses the company’s strong Kunlun Glass shield.

Huawei Nova 16 Ultra
Flagship processing power and a 200MP triple camera lens system
Under the hood, the Nova 16 Ultra runs entirely on the company’s in-house Kirin 9010S mobile processor. This is a flagship-grade processor that was previously used inside the premium Pura 90 smartphone models. To match this processing power, the phone runs on the brand-new HarmonyOS 6.1 software system straight out of the box, offering incredibly fast animations and clean user menus. The entire phone body also features premium IP68 and IP69 ratings to fully resist heavy dust and water splashes.
Photography fans are getting a massive upgrade as well. The back of the device features a huge horizontal camera layout that holds a flagship 200-megapixel primary camera lens. This main sensor utilizes an f/1.8 aperture and physical Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) to take crisp, blur-free images in dark environments. The triple setup also includes a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with 3.7x optical zoom and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide macro camera. Selfie lovers can use a high-quality 50-megapixel front-facing camera tucked inside a small pill-shaped cutout.

Huawei Pura 80 Ultra: The Phone That Takes Amazing Photos
Chinese phone maker Huawei just released the newest phone called the Pura 80 Ultra. This phone is all about taking great pictures. Usually, Huawei only sells phones in China, but this time the company is all set to bring this phone to other countries too.
What Makes This Phone Special?
The Pura 80 Ultra isn’t the fastest phone you can buy, but it has something no other phone has. It’s the first phone in the world with two zoom cameras stacked on top of each other. Pretty cool, right?
You’ll also notice this phone looks different. It has a triangle-shaped camera bump on the back that really stands out.
The Camera System
The camera is where this phone really shines. Here’s what you get:
- Main camera: 50MP with a huge 1-inch sensor
- Wide-angle camera: 40MP for those group shots
- Color helper: 1.5MP sensor that makes colors look better
- Zoom camera: 50MP telephoto lens (the biggest on any phone)
The zoom camera is the real star here. It can zoom in 3.7 times without losing quality. But here’s the fun part – it also has a motorized periscope that gives you 9.7 times zoom. That’s almost as good as Samsung’s Galaxy S23 Ultra, which zooms 10 times, but Huawei uses a much bigger camera sensor.
What’s Inside?
Huawei didn’t say which processor powers this phone, but experts think it’s their own Kirin 9020 chip. The screen is 6.8 inches, super bright (3,000 nits), and refreshes 120 times per second for smooth scrolling.
Different Versions
Here’s where it gets interesting. If you buy this phone in China, you get:
- 5G internet
- Satellite connectivity
- HarmonyOS 5.1 (Huawei’s own system)
- 5,700mAh battery
Both versions come with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage space.
Cool Features
The phone has a new “AI Smart Controls” button that lets you quickly access things like:
- AI camera features
- Flashlight
- Camera app
What’s really neat is this button also works as a fingerprint sensor. You don’t see that often in flagship phones.
Charging and Colors
You can charge this phone super fast – 100W with a cable and 80W wirelessly. It comes in two colors: black and gold.
Price
In China, the Pura 80 Ultra costs 9,999 yuan (about $1,400 USD). Huawei hasn’t announced the price for other countries yet.

It is reported that Huawei Kunlun Glass is made of nano-microcrystalline glass, which is said to be able to improve toughness and reduce the risk of screen breakage. The glass has obtained the “world’s first Swiss SGS five-star glass drop resistance certification” and can “strongly protect the screen.”
Users who need Kunlun glass replacement service can place an order on Huawei Mall and then go to the service store for replacement, or they can go directly to the store to participate in related activities.
