Last month, Huawei sent the first HarmonyOS 2 closed beta build for the Huawei Nova 5 series users in the mainland. Huawei has started sending a second HarmonyOS 2.0 closed beta build for Huawei Nova 5, Nova 5i Pro, and Nova 5z.
HarmonyOS 2 second closed beta update for Nova 5 series optimizes the experience of using Service Widget, improves the calendar interface as well as the sound experience of Bluetooth headsets to enhance the user experience.
Huawei Nova 5, Nova 5i Pro, and Nova 5z smartphone beta tester can upgrade their respective devices to HarmonyOS 2.0 version 18.104.22.168 from 22.214.171.124 in China.
Note: HarmonyOS 2.0 beta program is currently limited to the Chinese variant and soon expand for global models.
Huawei Nova 5, Nova 5i Pro and Nova 5z HarmonyOS 126.96.36.199 Changelog:
- Feature: Optimizes the user experience of the Service Widget.

Huawei Nova 5i Pro smartphone runs on Android v9.0 (Pie) (Upgradable now) operating system. The phone is powered by Octa-core (2.27 GHz, Dual-core, Cortex A76 + 1.88 GHz, Hexa Core, Cortex A55) processor. Inside it has a HiSilicon Kirin 810 Chipset and for the memory, it has 6 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage.
Huawei Nova 5i Pro smartphone has a IPS LCD display. It measures 156.1 mm x 73.9 mm x 8.3 mm and weighs 178 grams. The screen has a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and 412 ppi pixel density. At the camera front, users get a 32 MP Front Camera and on the rear, there’s an 48+8+2+2 MP camera with features like 6 x Digital Zoom, Auto Flash, Face detection, Touch to focus.
How to update?
Go to Settings -> ‘System & updates’ -> ‘Software update’ -> ‘Check for updates’ -> ‘Download and install’.
You can also update via Support app. Go to Support App-> Services -> Update > Check for updates. (Get the latest version of the app.)
