Huawei applies for Air Glass and SuperSensing trademarks for Mate 30

According to the LetsGoDigital, the two new patents applied by Huawei, suggesting that Mate 30 may not use Corning’s Gorilla Glass, but instead use Air Glass, and the machine is expected to use the P30 SuperSensing camera.

Recently, Huawei submitted two trademark applications to the UK and the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), namely Air Glass related to the screen glass and SuperSensing related to the camera.




The Mate 30 Pro is expected to use a 40-camera + 120° super wide-angle + 8MP @ 5x telephoto + 3D ToF four-shot combination, while the Mate 30 Standard Edition may only be equipped with a rear three-shot.

Huawei is expected to release the new Mate 30 family in October this year and start shipping the 4G version in November. As for the 5G model, it may take December.
