Huawei FreeClip Update brings gesture control

Huawei FreeClip device was launched in back 2023. The FreeClip is the industry’s first open-ear bud that doesn’t distinguish between left and right ears. The FreeClip can go up to 32 hours and charge fully back in 40 minutes – 10 minutes nets you up to 3 hours of listening.

Huawei has started rolling out the new software update to its FreeClip. As per the update changelog, it is rolling out with the version HarmonyOS 4.2.0.172.

[New]
Adds gesture-based volume adjustment feature (experimental feature). You can enable this feature after updating all relevant apps to the latest version.

[Optimizations]
Improves connections via Bluetooth.

Make sure the battery level of both earbuds and charging case is above 20% before updating.
