Huawei launched HMS Core 4.0 worldwide

Huawei officially launched HMS Core 4.0 worldwide, saying it is an important milestone in building a global ecosystem for HMS. Yu Chengdong recently said in a New Year speech that Huawei will fully build the HMS ecosystem and form a new system of “self-developed chips + Hongmeng OS”.

HMS Core is a collection of Huawei terminal cloud service and mobile service open capabilities. It is a platform that provides basic services for application development.

  • Machine-learning services,
  • Context-aware services,
  • Unified code scanning services,

  • User identity services, etc.

Many of these services also support the integration of Huawei’s core-end-cloud capabilities.

HMS Apps includes core applications consisting of Huawei Cloud Space, Huawei Smart Assistant, Huawei App Market, Huawei Wallet, Huawei Skyrim, Huawei Video, Huawei Music, Huawei Reading, Huawei Themes and Living Services. At present, Huawei has more than 1.3 million registered developers worldwide, and the number of applications accessing HMS Core globally exceeds 55,000.
