Huawei ranks first in 5G patents globally, Check list of Top 30 Companies

There were 21,571 5G standard patent filed in the world, of which Huawei has 3147 patents and ranked first, followed by Samsung (2795), ZTE (2561), LG Electronics (2300), Nokia (2149) and Ericsson (1494) as of January 1, 2020.

In 2019, Huawei’s R & D expenses amounted to 131.7 billion yuan (about 18.6 billion US dollars), accounting for 15.3% of the annual sales revenue. It is expected to exceed 20 billion US dollars in 2020. At present, Huawei has 85,000 valid patents worldwide, with invention patents accounting for 90%, and the European Patent Office has 3524 patent applications ranking first.
