Huawei will create 110 new jobs in Ireland and invest USD 80 million in research

According to the information, Huawei will create 110 new jobs in Ireland and plans to invest US$80 million in local R&D activities.

The new positions involve multiple business areas such as sales, R&D and IT development. Huawei said that these jobs will be mainly located in the Dublin headquarters and Cork and Athlone.

The new jobs project will come under the IDA Ireland and project for locations across Dublin, Cork, and Athlone. Huawei mentioned that these recruitments are opened to help the company in the rollout of 5G services across Ireland.

In the past 15 months, Huawei has created 200 jobs and currently, it has 480 employees in Ireland. However, the investment plans come at a significant time for Huawei which had been targeted by the administration of former US President Donald Trump.
