The Huawei WATCH 3 series is a smartwatch that focuses on battery life, ecology, and health. A major feature of the watch is to support the respiratory health research function. Now, according to the information, the Huawei Watch 3 series users are now getting the new software update with the firmware version, and the respiratory health research function is finally online.

It is reported that Huawei and Tongji Hospital affiliated with Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology jointly initiated respiratory health research. Huawei WATCH 3 will enable intelligent identification of body temperature, respiration rate, blood oxygen, heart rate variability, and other information, and achieve respiratory infections.

According to the blogger, the updated version can install respiratory health research applications to achieve preliminary screening for lung infections. The user’s health data such as body temperature, blood oxygen, respiration rate, heart rate variability, and cough sound from Huawei wearable devices are used for lung infection risk screening.

In addition to the respiratory health research function, this update also brings features such as rope skipping mode, family care, and support for custom text messages for quick replies.
