Vivo surpasses Huawei and becomes No. 1 in the Asian smartphone market in Q4 2020

According to the Counterpoint Research report in the fourth quarter of 2020, vivo became the number one smartphone brand in the Asian market, with an overall market share of 15%, and Apple ranked second with the same share.

Xiaomi’s market share is 14%, ranking third, and OPPO and Huawei’s (Including Honor) market shares are 13% and 12%, respectively, ranking fourth and fifth on the list.

In 2014 Vivo came to India, and then quickly covered Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, and other countries. At the same time, vivo has also established a 9+5 R&D and manufacturing system (9 smart R&D centers + 5 smart manufacturing centers) in many places around the world.

From a global perspective, global smartphone shipments in the fourth quarter of 2020 were 394.6 million units, a year-on-year decrease of 1.6% and a month-on-month increase of 8%.
