Huawei has started kicking off the December 2021 software update for the Watch GT 2e smartwatch users in Europe. The latest firmware update comes with build number 11.0.14.25 and adds new features such as workout data syncing and support for various third-party apps. In addition, system performance and stability are improved.

Notice:

Third-party apps must be downloaded from the HUAWEI Health app (on a HUAWEI smartphone). App Sync is only supported by selected apps and requires EMUI 4.0 (or newer) or HarmonyOS.
For a better user experience, it is recommended to first update the Huawei Health app to the latest version in the app store.
Do not disconnect the Bluetooth connection during the update. If the update fails, try again.
It may take a while to update the wearable. Wait until the progress indicator on the device indicates the end of the process. The device will restart automatically when the update is complete.
If you experience problems using the device, call the Huawei customer service line or visit a Huawei customer service center.

Huawei Watch GT 2e Specifications:

As per the specifications, the design of the Huawei Watch GT 2e is slightly different as compared to its predecessor. The circular dial with a tachymeter is completely covered by glass. The body comes in black stainless steel or regular stainless steel options, while the straps come in Graphite Black, Icy White, Mint Green, and Lava Red colors.

There are two buttons on the side of the watch. The top button brings up the menu while the one on the bottom takes you to your workouts. The Watch GT 2e comes in a single 46mm variant unlike the Watch GT 2 which is offered in 46mm and 42mm sizes.

It sports a 1.39-inch AMOLED display with a 454×454 resolution. You can get a bunch of traditional analog and digital watch faces as well and tons more that can be downloaded via the Huawei Health app.

The Huawei Watch GT 2e is powered by the Kirin A1 chipset much like the Watch GT 2 and Honor Magic Watch 2. It also runs on LiteOS. It comes preloaded with 15 workout modes, 13 running courses and it can support up to 100 workout activities via the app. The smartwatch is equipped with features like Always On display, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, 5 ATM water resistance, 4GB RAM, gyroscope, accelerometer, among other things. The Huawei Watch GT 2e claims to deliver 14 days of battery life on a single charge under ideal settings.
