According to the latest report from Omdia’s Smartphone Market Tracking Report for the Fourth Quarter of 2021. The report shows that by the end of 2021, the cumulative global shipments of folding screen smartphones will reach 11.5 million units, which is the first folding screen since 2019. The report pointed out that from the second half of 2021, sales have grown rapidly, with annual shipments reaching 9 million units in 2021, achieving a year-on-year growth of 309%. Among them, Samsung shipped the most, and Huawei ranked second.

According to Omdia, Huawei is the second largest player in the folding screen mobile phone market, with a market share of 10%.
Omdia pointed out that this year, the global folding screen smartphone market is expected to grow significantly from last year, reaching 14 million units. Sales are expected to grow steadily every year, reaching 61 million units by 2026, accounting for 3.6% of the total smartphone market.
