It will arrive with the codename EHY, the Luxeed S9 rides on Chery’s E0X electric platform and features a Huawei-made electric motor on the rear axle. The motor produces 215 kW (292 hp) of power. A 4WD version of the S9 is also available, which features an additional electric motor on the front axle that produces 150 kW (204 hp).
The battery option will include LFP for 62 kWh, M3P (NMC+LFP) for 82 kWh, and NMC for 100 kWh. The range of the S9 will vary depending on the battery option chosen.
In terms of pricing, the S9 is anticipated to align with the Tesla Model Y in China, given its position as a direct competitor to the Luxeed S9 SUV. The Model Y’s starting price in China is 266,400 yuan (37,440 USD).
