Huawei has released the May 2022 security patch update for around 37 devices (including Honor) and now the company has started releasing the same update for the Nova 6, Nova 6 5G, and Nova 6 SE smartphone users in mainland China.
The May 2022 security patch update for Nova 6, Nova 6 5G, and Nova 6 SE is available with the build number HarmonyOS 2.0.0.232.

To recall, the Nova 6 5G (WLZ-AN00) was launched with a 6.57-inch FHD+ 2400 x 1080 display, powered by a Kirin 990 processor and it is paired with the Balong 5000 modem which brings support for NSA and SA 5G networks. For the software concern, Nova 6 5G runs EMUI 10 based on Android 10.
At the front, the Nova 6 5G gets a two selfie camera with a large punch-hole. Huawei once again added the side-mounted fingerprint position where it doubles as the power button. On the rear side, it has a triple camera followed by a 40MP RYYB Sony sensor with an f/1.7 aperture and a 1.2µm pixel size which allows for more light and an ISO of up to 204800. There is also an 8MP f/2.4 120° ultrawide angle camera and an 8MP f/2.4 telephoto camera with 30x ultra-long zoom, AF, and OIS. The phone has EIS and can record 4K HD videos.
