Huawei P50 Pocket and P50 Pro global version launched

Last July, Huawei officially launched the P50 and P50 Pro while the Huawei P50 Pocket phone was released in December. As of now, the P50 series is only available in China but according to the latest information, Huawei officially released the P50 Pocket Premium Edition and P50 Pro globally.

The Huawei P50 Pro global variant is only available in two colors, Obsidian Black and Cocoa Gold. It uses a 6.6-inch curved OLED display with a display refresh rate of 120Hz and a touch sampling rate of 300Hz. It is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 4G chipset , and 8GB + 256GB storage.

The Huawei P50 Pro is equipped with a 4360 mAh battery that supports 66W fast charging and 50W wireless charging. It also includes under-screen fingerprint recognition, Bluetooth 5.2, IP68 dust and water resistance, USB Type-C port, and stereo speakers. It is worth noting that the phone does not have Google Play services, and the phone runs EMUI 12 out of the box.

The Huawei P50 Pocket Global Edition is equipped with a Snapdragon 888 4G processor, runs EMUI 12 instead of HarmonyOS , and has up to 12 + 512GB of storage. As Huawei’s first vertically foldable mobile phone, the rest of the configuration of the international version is the same as the domestic version.

Huawei said it will launch the two phones in ” key markets ” in “Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa, Europe, and Latin America”. The pricing information for the European version is as follows:

  • P50 Pro: 1199 euros
  • P50 Pocket: 1299 euros
  • P50 Pocket Premium Edition: 1599 euros
