Chinese tech giant Huawei has officially launched its self-developed operating system HarmonyOS and on the same day, the company has announced the first series of devices that will get HarmonyOS operating system (OS). As per the official debut, this new OS will be seen on two new tablets — MatePad Pro and MatePad — and a new smartwatch named Watch 3.
For now, the HarmonyOS supported devices are currently available in China and there’s no update on when these devices will start shipping to other countries.
According to the official statement, the company said more than 300 application and service partners, 1000 hardware partners, and 500,000 developers have jointly participated in making the Harmony ecosystem.

“Regardless of the size of the device, only one system can cover smart terminal devices with a memory as small as 128K, as large as 4GB or more, bringing consumers an ultimate full-scene interactive experience,” Wang Chenglu, president of Huawei’s consumer software business, said at a launch event.

How to install HarmonyOS Theme?
- Download the theme from the above link, save this theme by “Aquamarine” name (via File Manager > Download)
- Just paste this file on File Manager > Phone > Huawei > Themes.
- Apply HarmonyOS Theme -> Open theme app -> Tap on the “Me” tab on the bottom right corner -> Tap on the “Aquamarine” theme -> Click the “Apply” button
