At HDC (Huawei Developer Conference) 2020, Huawei officially announced the HarmonyOS 2.0 which is making its way to the smartphone next year. Huawei HarmonyOS/Hongmeng 2.0 will support devices with up to 128MB RAM, such as smart wearables and other IoT devices.
According to the official statement, In 2021, it will support up to 4GB RAM, such as tablets and entry-level smartphones. Also, by the end of 2021, the RAM will be increase and other smartphones will join the portfolio.
Apart from the roadmap, Huawei Consumer BG CEO, Richard Yu, said the first Huawei smartphone will launch in 2021.
