Last year, Huawei Cloud ranked second in the domestic public cloud market, and at the same time the fastest growth rate in the world, Huawei’s rotating chairman said at the annual report conference today.
Huawei’s net profit in 2020 was 64.6 billion yuan, compared with 62.7 billion yuan in the same period last year, a year-on-year increase of 3.2%. Huawei said that by 2020, it has invested 141.9 billion yuan in R&D. The cash flow from operating activities in 2020 was 35.2 billion yuan, a decrease of 61.5%.
In 2020, Huawei’s carrier business continued to ensure the stable operations of more than 1,500 networks across more than 170 countries and regions, which helped support telework, online learning, and online shopping throughout COVID-19 lockdowns. Working together with carriers around the world, the company helped provide a superior connected experience and moved forward with more than 3,000 5G innovation projects in over 20 industries like coal mining, steel production, ports, and manufacturing.

As in previous years, Huawei’s annual report published relevant financial data for the three major businesses of operators, consumers, and enterprises, but did not disclose financial data related to the cloud business, and its revenue was included in the corporate business. However, the growth rate of Huawei Cloud in 2020 is as high as 168%.
The annual report indicates that Huawei Cloud has launched more than 220 cloud services, more than 210 solutions, has obtained more than 80 authoritative security certifications worldwide, developed more than 19,000 partners and more than 4,000 applications on the cloud market.
