Huawei P30 Series selected for HarmonyOS 3 beta early adopter

Huawei has now started sending the HarmonyOS 3 beta update to the P30 and P30 Pro smartphones. Users can upgrade to version 2.0.0.268/291 through “Settings – System and Update – Software Update – Check for Updates”, and then through “My Huawei App > Home > Upgrade Early adopters.

The HarmonyOS 3 comes with several new changes including super device, universal cards (support stacking and sorting, free combination), smart folders (adjustable size styles), smart desktop layouts (based on color or function, random templates) Settings), Privacy Center (view app access privacy permission records), Security Center (view device security status, refer to protection suggestions) and more.

To recall, the Huawei P30 Pro smartphone was launched with a 6.47-inch OLED FHD+ (2340 x 1080) waterdrop display. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by a 7nm Kirin 980 chip, which supports 8GB+256GB internal storage and microSD expansion. The rear cameras consists of 40MP (wide-angle lens, f/1.6 aperture, OIS) + 20MP (ultrawide-angle, f/2.2 aperture) + 8MP (telephoto, f/3.4 aperture, OIS) + ToF camera. It has a front-facing 32MP (f/2.0 aperture) camera.
