Huawei released the HarmonyOS 3 version for smartphones on the mainland. The latest version comes with new features including a Universal Card widget, privacy enhancement, and more.

The Chinese tech giant officially claims that HarmonyOS 3 is much faster and less demanding than HarmonyOS 2. On a keynote, HarmonyOS 3 offers 14% improved response times compared to HarmonyOS 2, as well as 11% reduced power consumption.

Now, let’s get back to the title, Huawei has recently released the August 2022 security patch details which the company fixes 2 critical and10 High levels of CVEs while there are no medium and low levels of CVEs. August 2022 HarmonyOS and EMUI updates:

August 26, 2022: The August 2022 security patch is now out for the Huawei Mate 30 Pro users in the global market. The latest software update arrived with the new build number 12.0.0.268.

The update comes OTA again this time. The download is 341 MB, which is in the normal range for a security patch and therefore you can easily download it via phone data.

August 25, 2022: The European users of the Huawei P40 Pro are now reportedly getting the new software update based on EMUI 12. The all-new firmware update for P40 Pro brings the August 2022 security patch with a 361 MB of size.

August 20, 2022: Here comes the good news for the Huawei P40 users in the global market. The company has started rolling out the August 2022 security patch for the P40 users with the latest firmware version 12.0.0.268 and the update package size is 364 MB.

August 16, 2022: Huawei introduced its new Watch Fit 2 smartwatch powered with a 1.74-inch AMOLED screen in July this year. According to the new report, Huawei Watch Fit 2 is now getting the August 2022 software update with the firmware version 2.1.0.158 in the global market, while the update comes with a size of 260MB.

August 14, 2022: The latest firmware update for Huawei Watch GT 2 brings a system stability optimization update and its spinning out with the build number 11.0.16.10.

August 14, 2022: Huawei has decided to upgrade its P40 Lite smartphone with the month-old July 2022 security patch update in the European market. The new software update is currently available with the build number JNY-LX1 12.0.0.238.

August 12, 2022: According to the users of the Huawei Watch 3 series, the company has now pushed an internal beta version of HarmonyOS 3. The latest software version distributing with the version HarmonyOS 3 (3.0.0.91).

August 11, 2022: Huawei P50 Pro is getting a new firmware update in Europe. The latest update comes as usual OTA and brings July 2022 security patch with the firmware version 12.0.1.248. The download size is 354 MB either you can prefer downloading via phone data or wifi.

August 11, 2022: Huawei MatePad 10.4-inch tablet users in the European market are now getting the July 2022 security patch update with the latest software version 2.0.0.246. No other changes or additions are part of the currently deploying updates. If you own an eligible device, you can attempt initiating the OTA download manually by opening Settings. The update package size is 241 MB so you can easily download it via phone data.

August 10, 2022: Huawei has officially announced the list of eligible devices that will get the HarmonyOS 3 beta update in the second batch. The list includes 8 Mate series devices, 1 P50 series phone, 2 MatePad devices, 6 TVs.

August 10, 2022: Huawei Watch GT 3 is now getting a new firmware Update in Europe. The all-new software update comes with version number 2.1.0.377(C00M08) and the update size is 120MB.

August 09, 2022:  Now, according to the information, the Chinese tech firm has started pushing out July 2022 security patch update for the Huawei Nova 5T smartphone users in the European market. The latest firmware update comes with build number 12.0.0.152.
