Huawei P40 Lite may use MediaTek processor

In the past, the entry-level models of Huawei P series products will be equipped with their own Kirin processors, but the Huawei P40 Lite, which will be launched this year, may undergo some changes.
It is reported that this Huawei new phone is equipped with the MT6883 processor from MediaTek, which is the down-frequency version of the legendary Dimensity 1000L.
Although the authenticity of the news has not been confirmed, at the end of last year, there was news from Taiwanese media that MediaTek’s 5G chips for the low-to-mid-end market will be purchased by Huawei, plus Huawei’s own mid-range 5G chip Kirin 820 processing. The device will not be mass-produced until the second quarter of this year, so Huawei P40 Lite may indeed use MediaTek 5G chips for the first time based on the need to support 5G networks.
