Huawei Mate 50 is expected to offer a 120hz refresh rate and LTPO display, according to a tweet by Ross Young, founder, and CEO of Display Supply chain Consultants.
LTPO (low-temperature polycrystalline oxide), is a type of display backplane tech that can dynamically change a compatible TFT panel’s refresh rate.
Mate 40 will be 90Hz as said above. Next year’s Mate 50 models will be 120Hz, probably with LTPO…

Judging from the current situation, there have been repeats teasing the possibility of a faster refresh rate on the upcoming Huawei phones. Some old report suggests that the Huawei Mate 40 may feature a 120Hz refresh rate but according to a Twitter tipster @RODENT950, the Mate 40 series will follow the on-screen specifications of the P40 series, which is about 1200P + resolution and 90Hz refresh rate.
