Huawei P40 Pro will use Sony IMX 700 [52 MP]

The Sony IMX 700 uses a 1/1.33 sensor and supports 16-pixel unification (4×4). In other words, the largest unit of photosensitive pixel size can be combined to about 4.48 μm. According to the EMUIupdate.com, Huawei P40 Pro will be equipped with Sony IMX 700 CMOS. This sensor has 52 MP and still uses the RYYB color array.

For comparison, Samsung ’s S20 Ultra ’s 100-megapixel sensor HM1 supports 9-pixel integration (3×3), with a single-pixel of up to 2.4 μm, and Xiaomi ’s 100-megapixel sensor HMX supports 4-pixel integration (2×2), single-pixel 1.6 μm maximum.

The P40 Pro will also be equipped with a 40-megapixel ultra-wide-angle, wide-angle, 10x optical variable periscope lens and a ToF deep-sensing lens.

Recently, a well-known leaker @RODENT950 shared a new leak related to the Huawei P40 series smartphones. He said Huawei P40 will have two Pro models one is P40 Pro and another one is P40 Pro Premium Edition.
