Huawei Weekly Update – Jan 1st to Jan 11 2020

Huawei Technologies Co.Ltd this year focusing on the brand new and unique products, with the starting of 2020, Huawei arranged “2020 together party” hosted by nova6 5G, Hundreds of young people gathered together to start the party with the ten city nova stars. Below check the Huawei weekly update/report starting from Jan 1st to Jan 11, 2020.

Jan 1st, 2020:

• The company had rolled out the EMUI 10 update to its Huawei Mate 30 smartphone (EMUI 10.0.0.182).
• Huawei opened, authorized smart (smart robotic arm self-shopping) unmanned store officially in Wuhan.
• Huawei Nova 6 5G gets the first EMUI update EMUI 10.0.1.135, which enhanced Link Turbo and added support for multiple applications.
• Honor MagicWatch 2 made a record of selling 10,000 units in 1 minute.
• The upgraded version of the Honor MagicBook (Intel 10th generation Core Edition, AMD Ryzen Edition) first sale exceeded 10,000 units.
• The Nova 5 Pro gets EMUI version 10.0.0.103 and some users received EMUI 10.0.0.106.

Jan 2nd, 2020:

• The first sale of the MateBook D 15 Ryzen Edition went live.
• The company officially announced that, Huawei Pay (Huawei wallet) transportation card now supports 35 cards, covering 312 cities and is moving towards more cities.
• We created the Huawei EMUI 10 performance report (App timing).
• EMUI 10 and EMUI 9.1 supported models for Connect Voice function.
• Huawei EMUI officially announced the latest EMUI 10 2020 schedule.
• Download Huawei openEuler operating system source code. In the openEuler community, users can download operating system installation images or source code, quickly understand and learn the implementation of the openEuler OS.
• On the same day, Huawei opened its own news program called ” HUAWEI NEWS”. The channel program counts Huawei’s achievements throughout 2019, thinking about the 5G era.

Jan 3rd, 2020:

• The most awaiting smartphone Huawei P40 and Huawei P40 Pro leak occurred on this day, and (the leaker) suggested that the Huawei P40 series will have 3 models.
• Huawei with the help of Samsung display started foldable OLED panels development for the new foldable smartphone.
• On Jan 3rd, 2020 a number of Huawei smartphones received Bluetooth certification.
• Hisilicon, a chip company owned by Huawei, has finally started to supply chips to companies other than Huawei.
• Huawei wallet bus card lineup is set to expand, Lanzhou Bus Card, Jiangsu Card, Nantong, Jiangsu Card, Suqian, and Huaian.
• Huawei on Jan 3rd, 2020 completed the first 5G base station emergency communication test via drone, it covered 6.5KM when flying at 200m altitude.
• Huawei desktop computer, which is equipped with a self-developed Kunpeng 920S processor, supports up to 64GB memory and has an independent graphics card is getting positive feedback in a survey.
• Huawei Pay flash cards (automatic card selection) support models.
• The Huanghe Kunpeng server and desktop, with the help of Huawei Chips, were put into production and the first product delivery ceremony was held in Xuchang, Henan.
• Huawei Health App updated to the latest version 10.0.2.319 (10.0.2.519 other region) and fixed Sleep Tracking Problem.

Jan 4th, 2020:

• Huawei MatePad Pro 5G version details leaked.
• The company started rolling out the latest EMUI 10 public beta for Honor V10 & Honor 10.
• The world’s first cloud service of GaussDB T, an extreme -level OLTP database supporting Kunpeng hardware architecture, was officially launched on Huawei Cloud.
• Download Huawei Mate 20 Pro EMUI 10.0.0.180 update size is 676MB. The update also includes a security patch of December 2019.
• Master Lu released the 2019 mobile phone performance list. Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G gets the 10th rank (401574 points).
• Huawei P30 Lite received the December 2019 security patch update (Huawei P30 Lite EMUI 10.0.0.158).

Jan 5th, 2020:

• The company’s next flagship smartphone, the Huawei P40, and Huawei P40 Pro will be launched at the end of March 2020(Paris). Huawei P40 camera components leaked.

• The Philippines Mate 20 Pro smartphone user received the EMUI 10.0.0.182 version number with a 4.67GB update size.

• Huawei Mate 20 X 5G received EMUI 10 update (Europe). The EMUI 10 for Huawei Mate 20 X 5G comes with version EMUI 10.0.0.187 and weighs 4.35GB and the 4G version gets EMUI 10 version 10.0.0.180.

Jan 9th, 2020:

• Marcos Pontes, Brazil’s Minister of Science, Technology, Innovation, and Communications said that Brazil will not accept any pressure from the United States on whether to allow China’s Huawei to participate in Brazil’s 5G spectrum auction.
• Huawei ranked 4th in Hurun Top 500 Private Enterprises 2019.
• In an interview with French media, Yu Chengdong has revealed that the Huawei P40 series will use a “never seen” design, with better camera quality and better performance.
• Huawei is in talks with many international banks, the company plans to raise about US$2 billion.

Jan 10th, 2020:

• The report shows that Samsung and Huawei’s internal chipset shipments in the third quarter of 2019 increased by more than 30% compared to the same period last year, due to this Qualcomm’s share drops from 24% to 8.6%.

• Huawei shipped 100,000 units of Mate X per month.
