EMUI 11: Changes in Audio Settings and Incoming Call Ringtone

Huawei EMUI 11/Magic UI 4.0 was launched at the Huawei Developer Conference (HDC) on September 10 last year. The Huawei Mate 40 series was the first device to pre-installed with EMUI 11. Huawei has started rolling out EMUI 11 updates in the beta as well as in a stable form to the selected devices. In this article, we will check the changes in Audio Settings and Incoming Call Ringtone.

You can switch to Sound mode using one of the following methods:

1. Swipe down the status bar to open the notification panel and tap the volume shortcut.

2. Tap the gear-shaped icon on the displayed sound bar to go to the sounds and vibration setting screen.

Small Changes to Incoming Call Ringtone

EMUI 11 has the following optimizations for incoming call ringtone playback:

1. When Pocket mode is activated, the ringer volume of incoming calls will gradually increase until it reaches the maximum level. In EMUI 11, the maximum volume has been lowered to avoid discomfort caused by loud ringtones.

2. When not in pocket mode, the ringer volume increase for incoming calls will only be effective when a Bluetooth or regular headset is connected.
